GENISYS is now installed at the Roland Public Library, and it makes a great example of how small-scale PoE lighting carries the same benefits as it does in a much larger footprint - tunable comfort, simple power, and modern control without needing a mega-campus project.

The Solution

GENISYS’ tunable white light fixture, the Leaf troffer, is found throughout the library’s expansion. Daylight Rhythm is employed in the space, approximating the white light temperature provided by the sun as the day progresses.

Users of the space also have a programmed switch to change the color temperature at a moment’s notice - with no software required - so staff can shift warm or cool white for reading, events, or evening hours without opening a laptop.

The Impact

An entire library addition - and its controller - on only a couple of outlets.

Low-voltage PoE kept the install straightforward for a community-scale project. The full set of light fixtures for the addition, plus the computer controller for the system, runs on only a couple of outlets - proof that GENISYS works anywhere, not just in large commercial footprints.

Patrons and staff get daylight-aligned tunable white throughout the expansion, with instant color-temperature changes at the wall when the program of the space changes.
